
La Muay Thai non è solo uno sport da combattimento. Certo, nasce per il ring, anzi, ancora prima per la guerra, anche se questa è una semplificazione estrema. Ma ridurla a un semplice confronto fisico è un errore. È una disciplina che va oltre la lotta, un percorso completo di autodeterminazione, salute ed equilibrio. Non è necessario combattere per praticarla: puoi avvicinarti alla Muay Thai per sviluppare forza, controllo e benessere, seguendo una via che, come insegnano le filosofie orientali, porta a una crescita interiore oltre che fisica.
Analogamente a quanto scritto nel Yojokun dal giapponese Kaibara Ekiken, la Muay Thai può e deve diventare un percorso di salute e miglioramento. La salute del popolo è sempre stata una questione di potere, ma ognuno può fare qualcosa per sé stesso. È un discorso ampio e complesso, ma in questa occasione voglio semplicemente introdurre il concetto di una pratica che può avere un impatto profondo e benefico sulla vita di chiunque.
I thailandesi consigliano di iniziare con calma, muovendosi in modo controllato per proteggere la schiena, sviluppare una postura solida e rinforzare tutti i muscoli. L'apprendimento della respirazione, della camminata e degli spostamenti nello spazio sono elementi fondamentali che vanno assimilati con pazienza. Non si tratta solo di dettagli tecnici, ma delle basi su cui si costruisce una pratica solida e duratura.
L'obiettivo è apprendere le tecniche in sicurezza, sviluppare velocità ed efficienza nei movimenti, adattandosi al proprio ritmo. Gradualmente si può arrivare a sessioni di allenamento ad alta intensità, mirate alla massimizzazione delle capacità atletiche. Il risultato è un miglioramento psicofisico evidente, perché, come dicevano i saggi, mens sana in corpore sano.
La Muay Thai coinvolge tutto il corpo. Calci, pugni, schivate, salti, movimenti esplosivi. È un allenamento completo che migliora forza, coordinazione, agilità e reattività neuromuscolare. Ogni allenamento non è solo un modo per rafforzare il corpo, ma anche per rafforzare la mente, incanalando stress e tensioni in energia positiva.

General Thai Massage Course
Welcome to a journey into the tradition of Thai Massage, an ancient art that brings with it the millenary knowledge of traditional Thai medicine. Our course is in Wat Po style, famous for its ability to provide deep relaxation and rebalance the body through the stimulation of energy lines.
During the training course, you will learn to perform a complete treatment lasting 60/90 minutes, acquiring the fundamental techniques to release muscle tension, promote well-being and improve the quality of life of those receiving the massage. You will also learn the basic principles of traditional Thai medicine, to work consciously on the body's energy lines.
The course includes a total of 36 hours, divided into two intensive weekends. The class days start at 8:30 and end at 17:30, with a lunch break from 12:30 to 13:30, offering an immersive experience that will allow you to learn in an in-depth and practical way.
Theoretical learning will guide you through the history and evolution of Thai Massage, the differences between the various styles, the theory of energy lines (Sen) and good practices for interacting with the recipient while respecting precautions and contraindications. Information on the rules and regulations will also be provided for those who wish to practice professionally.
The practical part will be dedicated to the acquisition of essential techniques: pressure with thumbs and palms along the main energy lines, positions for treatment, stretching exercises for the legs, strategies to relieve the most common muscular tensions and the development of a harmonious and natural workflow.
At the end of the course, a certificate of participation recognized by the teachers and the affiliation bodies will be issued. Students will receive a detailed handout , enriched with images , explanations and a space dedicated to notes, also available in English .
To participate, appropriate clothing is required for the practice: comfortable , covering clothes, made of natural and non- tight fabrics. Taking care of your personal hygiene is essential , with particular attention to hands and feet , and nails must be short to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
